Several project orders expected
The event is an excellent opportunity to meet potential clients from our industry. As a company from south-east Germany focussing on software for the waste management industry, we did very well in this regard. We had a number of conversations which have already led to follow-up meetings. Several project orders are expected to materialise in the near future. We assume that the success rate will be quite high. It is very likely we will be back for more in two years’ time.
Matthias Kakerbeck, Business Development Manager, mse Halle GmbH
Several order enquiries
We have been an exhibitor at terratec for a few years, mostly to make ourselves seen by our clients. In particular, our branch in the Vogtland region uses the event to meet with longstanding business partners and contact new clients in a targeted way. In Leipzig we present a selection of our moulding technologies for the recycling of waste raw materials. On several occasions talks were focused on concrete job enquiries. Our expectations from the participation in the trade fair were met and we support the idea of coming back for the next instalment.

Important platform for communication
For us, terratec is a place for the industry to meet, making it an important platform for communication. We use it to make our presence known and exchange ideas with other players in the industry. At our stand we were pleased to welcome guests from Germany and abroad. We are very happy with the way things went for us and see the reorientation of the event as a step in the right direction, which should definitely be pursued further in the future.
Wolfgang Schulz, Head of Sales, Nestler
Full schedule during the trade fair
As a regional disposal company with a branch in Leipzig, being present at terratec is a matter of course for us. We are a longstanding exhibitor and have been present since the event’s very first edition. We use the trade fair primarily to cultivate our good relations with our existing clients. Nonetheless, the conversations with our fellow exhibitors are usually very fruitful too. Over the trade fair days, our schedule is stuffed to the brim with appointments – appointments which at any other time we would have been able to meet only by travelling long distances.
Steffen Hartl, Head of Sales Central Saxony, Becker Umweltdienste GmbH
Central point of call for members
We decided to take part in the trade fair with the aim of showing presence as the Interest Group of German Landfill Operators. Furthermore, we held our general meeting here in Leipzig and organised two very well-attended panel discussions. Our trade fair stand in the Glass Hall became a central point of call for our members and we met with a lot of acquaintances.
Dagmar Geenen, Assistent to the General Management, Interest Group of German Landfill Operators
Platform for an industry with good prospects
With the way we use resources becoming ever more important in the years ahead, we as a government office are pleased to support this trade fair. It is a platform for an industry with good prospects. We have to praise the organisation of the event, particularly the outstanding hall concept. We were also very pleased to see that the visitors were quick to embrace the professional programme. What stood out, in particular, was the Green Ventures networking forum, which welcomed participants from a large number of countries. We will continue to be a reliable partner for future terratec events.
Raphaele Polak, Head of Section 2, State Ministry for the Environment and Agriculture of the Free State of Saxony
Expectations have been met
We were aware that this event marked a new beginning. However, we can safely say that we are satisfied with the way things went and that our expectations were met. This is a foundation we can build on. terratec made it possible to build a bridge between the plant and mechanical engineering industry in east and west Germany and neighbouring eastern European countries. There are sufficient positive connecting factors to further hone the profile achieved thus far.
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Klett, Honorary member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Abfallwirtschaft e. V.
Reach far beyond Saxony
terratec is good advertising for the industry. The trade fair is competently organised, has a good atmosphere and high-calibre events. The Interest Group Plastics Recycling Initiative Saxony showcases the numerous possibilities for products made of recycled materials and makes them known to communities. We think it is great that terratec’s reach goes far beyond Saxony. We are looking forward with great optimism to future events.
Dr. rer. nat. Dietmar Lohmann, Managing Director, Interessengemeinschaft Kunststoffrecyclinginitiative Sachsen e.V.
Fostering contacts within the industry
As a classic disposal company with an extensive service portfolio, we use this trade fair to cultivate contacts with our clients within the industry. For our regional branches in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Brandenburg, terratec is an important communication event. A longstanding exhibitor, we will continue to support the trade fair in future editions.

Products met with great deal of interest
Here at terratec, we make efforts to persuade and educate. Because when it comes to subsurface waste collection methods, Germany is way behind other European countries. We were very pleased to find that our products were met with a great deal of interest. Visitors were particularly excited by the fact that our solutions make waste disposal more flexible and help optimise logistics.
